Questions Families Most Often Ask Regarding...
1. Can we bring furniture to personalize the room?
Yes, in fact we encourage you to bring a TV, a special quilt, pictures,
even a favorite easy chair. OUR ONLY REQUEST is make sure the
items fit comfortably in the room so our residents and staff will
be able to move about freely.
2.
Can we bring our family members home?
YES - If your family member is medically able we strongly encourage
this. We ask that you inform the nurse, sign out at the nurses'
station, and let the staff know about what time you will be returning.
3. Can we do the laundry?
YES
- we like you to. It helps you to know that the special softener
your family member liked is still being used. It also helps you
to keep track of what old items are wearing out and may need to be
replaced.
4. I am a
smoker, where can I smoke in the facility?
Designated areas within the facility are for smoking and
non-smoking. At Plus Health Care Center a designated smoking area is
located on the lower level. Please do not smoke in resident rooms or
lounges.
5. If something is missing what should I do?
If an article is missing, please contact the Social Service
department. We will assist in trying to locate the missing article.
6. How
can I find out about my family member?
Please feel free to call the facility and ask for the nurse. The
nursing staff will be happy to discuss with the family how their loved one
is doing. Our professional staff can best respond to you after 10:30
a.m. We also appreciate your feedback on how you feel your family
member is doing. Please feel free to speak to us anytime with your
comments or suggestions.
